Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation has a new President

The ordinary General Assembly of the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation took place at the headquarters of IPROCHIM, on November 17, 2009.
The participants analyzed the federation activity and stated the actions for the next period, in order to increase the role of this organization in representing, promoting and defending the common interests of its members. The most important subject on the agenda was the election of the Directory Council and the federation management team.
Mrs. Mariana Gheorghe - Executive General Director of PETROM – member of OMV Group – was elected as President of the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation, as well as President of the Directory Council.
General Assembly also approved the members of the Directory Council:
- Honor President – Mr. Andrei Razvan Grigorescu
- Prime Vice-President– Mr. Gabriel Comănescu – President of the Employer Association Oil Operations and Services, President of UPETROM GROUP MANAGEMENT
- Vice-President – Mr. Mihai Berinde – President of Employer Organization PETROGAZ, of Legal & Corporate Affairs at PETROM – Member of OMV Group
- Vice-President – Mr. Iulian Gradisteanu – representative of PSV Bucharest, Vice-President of Employer Unit CONCORDIA
- Members:
- Mr. Claudiu Colesiu – Vice-President of Employer Organization PETROGAZ
- Mr. Eduard Floria - Executive Director of Employer Organization PETROGAZ
- Mr. Tudor Opran - Executive Director of the Employer Association Oil Operations and Services

- Mr. Mihai Albulescu - reprezentant al Universităţii Petrol Gaze Ploieşti

Mrs. Mariana Gheorghe thanked the General Assembly for the honor to be elected as President of the Federation and she also thanked to Mr. Andrei Grigorescu for his 5-year mandate and for the outstanding accomplishments of the Federation.
Mrs. President affirmed that “by the Romania’s adhesion to EU it is necessary to improve the employer activity and to create a more stable business environment, for a fair competition. PETROM will be more active in the employer activity, in order to transform the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation into the most significant association of the oil and gas industry in Romania, the one to modernize the Romanian business environment.”
„In the next meeting of the Directory Council we’ll revise the objectives, strategy and policies on medium and long terms, as well as the Federation’s Activity Plan for 2010“.
This meeting will take place on December 15, 2009.
